Our Heroes' Back Story

Sunday 25th of September began like any other beautiful Sunday.. with one BIG difference! Big Help Mob was on the move. The picturesque view, tranquil sounds of birds, and rustle of trees at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Rehabilitation Centre were soon interrupted by cape-clad, energy-filled captains leading many more eager sidekicks.
The job was daunting. Years of neglect, animals in need of care and weeding to be done added up to a mighty challenge. Luckily, vast feats of superhuman strength are all in a day’s work for Big Help Mob. Some highlights from the morning included; the creation of a new island, christened the Isle of Sven, the taming of wild dingo puppies and the less glamorous (but no less significant) annihilation of many, many weeds. With muscles depleted and superhero powers waning, the Mob headed back to base for delicious feast of rolls.
The afternoon session blew us away with what BHM can do. With time running out in the afternoon session the Mob showed its ultimate power. Ignoring calls to pack up and with a Jungle of Weeds confronting them, a courageous mob of 20 superheros lead by their inspiring captains charged up and orchestrated a 20 minute blitz. The Jungle of Weeds was no match as it became The Great Pile of Weeds. The weed conquerors inspired all onlookers with their energy and persistence so late in the day.
