Our Heroes' Back Story

On December 3rd 2011, our Big Help Mobbing heroes joined forces with Dreamfit and braved the scorching 38 degree heat to help make DreamDay a radical reality.
Dreamfit harnesses epically creative engineering answers to make dreams a reality for people living with a range different disabilities. DreamDay was the all-inclusive festival which celebrates these solutions as well as how people living with disabilities connect with the community .Being a BHM volunteer for DreamDay meant providing a burst of people power to activate games and activities that had everyone administered with fits of giggles and bouts of funtimes - regardless of their abilities.
Whether it was learning how to play blind cricket (bells in the balls - genius!), getting beaten in ‘Extreme Connect Four’ by a 9 your old champion (who happens to be an amputee), impromptu-ising an all-in Tug O War, rocking out with awesome acts on stage or even becoming an expert snake handler despite initial fears of snakes, BHM volunteers were crucial in delivering smiles on faces.
Volunteers came away from the day smiling, sweaty and exhausted, but happy to be part of a special breed of superheros who brought creative energy to a dayful of activities and games.
