Donate!
Thank you so much for clicking our little donate button! We like you already!
I’m Tim, the Childlike Enthusiasm Officer (CEO) of Useful Inc. We’re the organisation which created Big Help Mob.
By donating to Big Help Mob you are giving us the fuel we need to get tens of thousands more people volunteering for thousands of worthy causes. It’s our way of working towards a world where everyone has found their own unique way of doing good for others and the planet... or in other words, a world where doing good is as mainstream as cheeseburgers and breathing.
Transparency is deeply important to us, so before you decide how much you would like to give, we want to explain what your donation will be spent on. You can download our current budget, which shows you exactly what we’re spending our money on right now.
We want to keep no secrets from you at all so if you have any questions about what any of this means you can always email me, the Childlike Enthusiasm Officer (CEO), at tim@bighelpmob.org. And if you really want to understand deeply how it all works you can even come down and meet the team at one of our monthly money meetings at our little office in Northbridge. Just ask me when the next one is.
Alongside donations, we sustain ourselves financially by charging the organisations that we provide volunteers for, and we’re working on charging corporates for providing them with great volunteering opportunities for their staff. This is a social enterprise model that we aim to make self-sustaining over the coming years.
We don’t want to “lead you” into giving a particular amount so we decided that the most un-manipulative way of asking you to support Big Help Mob is to give you a blank box and let you decide what a good amount is without any suggestions. Whatever you give we’re very grateful, and even if after reading this you don’t donate, we still love you.
Thank you so very much. Love and stuff,
Tim and the whole Big Help Mob team.
Please note: The organisation behind Big Help Mob is Useful Inc. Donations to us are not yet tax-deductible. We’re working on it though!
PS: If you want to be sure that I’m a real person and that Useful Inc. and our Big Help Mob project are the real deal, this video might help: It’s from a few years ago when Useful Inc. was still called Youth Tree.
PPS: I hope you have a great day!
